I walked along the winding road
It led me to your door
I knocked and waited patiently
I heard the creaking of the floor
Hoping you would let me in
It seemed as endless as the sands
At last you did and so I took
A firm grip of your hands
Along the winding road we walk
Together arm in arm
I know that I will never lean
Into another's charm
