Forgiven

I know I am a sinner for daily I have sinned
I recognize the sin, repent, then start again like new
For the Holy Ghost is with me, that sweet Spirit Friend
He teaches me Gods truths.

know I am His child and He has sent me here
To honor and be like Him each and every day
I know there will be trials and I will shed some tears
But I can overcome them if I follow and obey.

Each day I'm given choices
In everything I do
If I listen to the still small voice
I can know what's true.

My sins I pray He will forgive
When I return to Fathers throne
That He may say, "A life well lived"
And I know I'm not alone.

Thankful

T stands for the turkey that we love to eat
H for the happy hearts as we find our seats
A is for angels always willing to assist
N for the newly fallen snow that persists
K for the knowledge that my family cares
F for fancy dishes and the food we share
U is for understanding our ancestors dear
L for the love we feel when we are all near

Happy Thanksgiving! May you know that you are loved & blessed.

A Child's Heart

A child's heart is meek & humble
A child's perfect in God's eye
A child's fears can make them stumble
They have a thousands questions why.

A teen longs to be accepted
to feel loved and be an individual
Sometimes off is their perception
They hunger for the thrill.

A young adult is oh-so eager
Not a child, not yet grown up
Sometimes strong, at times meager
But ready to partake the cup.

The man's become a gentle friend
A man of God with contrite heart
Longing to come home again
His legacy becomes his art.

Our Heavenly King upon his throne
What we seek to be someday
With longing hearts, we are reborn
Into a King, we humbly pray.

From babe I'm holding in my arms
Into the man I know you'll be
You'll learn and grow and share your charms
With those whose yearning hearts believe.

Out A Huntin'

Cade Powers~Todd Powers (2008)

My huntin' men are out today
Tracking elk and deer
In the mountains over that a'way
Please don't get lost, that is my fear.

Bring home the meat for Sundays meal
I'll cook it up so tender
And one more thing, this is the deal
No bending of the fender.

If you should see a bunny sweet
Please let him live another day
And kick the mud off from your feet
Before inward bound to stay.

If no prize is to be found this trip
It will wait until another time
Just come on home and watch a clip
Of hunting stories that are prime.

I love you all and miss you, too
I cannot wait until you're home
My hunting men, so proud & true
Please return, I'm so alone.
